The ideal candidate for the role of Mandarin Translator possesses a unique combination of language expertise, cultural awareness, and strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate and high-quality translation of written materials, including documents, reports, emails, and other business-related content from Mandarin to English (and vice versa).
- Perform real-time interpretation during meetings, conferences, and other business interactions, ensuring clear and effective communication between English and Mandarin speakers.
- Review and edit translated documents to maintain language quality and adherence to established standards.
- Handle multiple translation and interpretation assignments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Work closely with colleagues and other team members to ensure effective teamwork and coordinated efforts.
Job Requirement
Qualifications:
- Candidates must possess a minimum Diploma, preferably Linguistics/Language or equivalent.
- Excellent knowledge of Indonesian, Chinese & English structure and content, including word meanings and spellings, composition rules, and grammar.
- Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven experience in translating and interpreting between Mandarin and English in professional settings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective working relationships.
- Deep understanding of cultural differences and sensitivities between Mandarin and English-speaking regions.
